About this section

Some organisations – like public authorities - will have to assess their impact on some equalities groups by law.  For example, all public authorities must assess how their policies affect race equality and must include a statement of their methods for assessing the impact and potential impact of their policies on equality for disabled people.  But it is also good practice to assess the impact of what you do on all equalities groups.  In some cases it may be appropriate to look at this for all equalities groups at the same time.

This section explains what an Equality Impact Assessment is, and how to go about doing one.
